About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

Adelaide Oval -

19th - 23rd December 1896

Lineups:
South Australia - J Darling, A Jarvis, JJ Lyons, C Hill, BT Bailey, G Giffen, JC Reedman, AE Evans, AH Jarvis, E Jones, JPF Travers

First Innings

The defending champs won the toss and put themselves into bat on a very friendly batting pitch that would favour the batsmen throughout.

An electric start would see NSW 181 before Iredale was caught at square leg for 79, and another fifty-runs were on the board before Mackenzie was out for 133. The runs kept on coming and, while South Australia looked to finally have a breakthrough, taking Gregory (29), Donnan (71), and Kelly (0) at the 339 mark, NSW were not to be stopped until they decided to declare at 585-8!

NSW: 585-8

ACK Mackenzie 133; MA Noble 128*
JPF Travers 3-84

In reply South Australia managed a lightweight 215 all out and were quickly made to follow-on.

NSW 585-8
SA 215

JJ Lyons 70
TR McKibben 4-65; CTB Turner 2-35

Second Innings

A much better performance, led again by Lyons, saw NSW step out again to bat, but it looked a foregone conclusion.

NSW 585-8
SA 215
+ 421

JJ Lyons 118; BT Bailey 114; A Jarvis 83
CTB Turner 4-95; A Coningham 3-86

It took twenty overs for the visitors to rack up the 52 runs needed to score, losing a pair of wickets in the process against a desperate bowling attack.

NSW 585-8 + 52-2
SA 215
+ 421

H Donnan 17*; FA Iredale 14 (ret. inj.)
E Jones 1-25

New South Wales win by eight wickets.
