New South Wales 11/14 vs South Australia 10/13
Sydney Cricket Ground -
8th - 11th January 1897
Lineups:
New South Wales - H Donnan, ACK Mackenzie, FA Iredale, JJ Kelly, SE Gregory, MA Noble, A Coningham, TW Garrett, CTB Turner, TR McKibben, WP Howell
South Australia -J Darling, JJ Lyons, G Giffen, C Hill, JC Reedman, BT Baiiley, AE Evans, BV Scrymgour, E Jones, J McKenzie, AJ Carracher
First Innings
South Australia get no chance to recover from thier last loss as are thrown straight back to the wolves. They barely reached the second day after what looked to be a promising start, but a collapse from 83-1 to 86-6 made this one look like a walkover fro NSW. SA did rally somewhat thanks to an amazing performance from E Jones, but this New South Wales team would not be daunted by such a score.
SA 285
E Jones 78; AE Evans 56
A Coningham 5-50
New South Wales hit the ground running and never really looked like they would be stopped for a long time, and it took almost two whole days to get them out of the crease.
SA 285
NSW 437
SE Gregory 163; ACK Mackenzie 61
AE Evans 3-100
Second Innings
This one was nearly won by an innings, but again one of the lower-order batsmen (AE EVans) manages to barely save face.
SA 285 + 177
NSW 437
G Giffen 48
A Coningham 5-31; CTB Turner 2-28
It was all over as soon as it had started as the openers for NSW breezed to their total with consummate ease.
SA 285 + 177
NSW 437 + 26-0
ACK Mackenzie 16*; H Donnan 10*
New South Wales wins by ten wickets
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.
About M.E. myself and I

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
