About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1898/99 (S7), Game 1: South Australia vs Victoria

South Australia 10/10 vs Victoria 12/15

Adelaide Oval -

12th, 14th-17th November 1898

Lineups:
South Australia - JJ Lyons, A Jarvis, C Hill, G Giffen, JC Reedman, AE Peters, HGW Chinner, E Jones, AE Evans, V Hugo, J McKenzie

First Innings

Victoria took the rare choice of putting in their opponents to bat first on a rather friendly batting pitch. It looked like a good decision as the home side fell for just 220 all out. Without a fourth wicket partnership it could have been a lot worse for South Australia

SA 220

G Giffen 86; JC Reedman 53
W Bruce 5-44

Victoria enjoyed a strong start, but may have felt their lead could have been bigger given the circumstances.

SA 220
VIC 318

H Trumble 88; J Worrall 69; SA McMichael 51
V Hugo 4-61; A Jarvis 3-69

Second Innings

A highly impressive showing from A Jarvis saw him last the entire innings; giving his team a chance of victory.

SA 220 + 318
VIC 318

A Jarvis 179*; V Hugo 50
FJ Laver 4-68

With the pitch turning in favour of the bowlers, Victoria's odds of winning were not as high. The middle order showed up this time though to take the win with some room to spare.

SA 220 + 318
VIC 318 + 221-5

FJ Laver 85*; JH Stuckey 61
E Jones 3-61

Victoria wins by five wickets
