About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1898/99 (S7), Game 5: New South Wales vs South Australia

New South Wales 10/12 vs South Australia 10/10

Sydey Cricket Ground

6th-7th, 9th-13th January 1899

Lineups:
New South Wales - VT Trumper, H Donnan, MA Noble, SE Gregory, FA Iredale, RA Duff, AL Newell, JJ Kelly, LW Pye, TR McKibbin, WP Howell

South Australia - J Darling, FT Hack, C Hill, G Giffen, JJ Lyons, A Jarvis, JC Reedman, A Green, AE Peters, E Jones, AH Jarvis

First Innings

In a game New South Wales had to win to have any chance of wining the Sheffield Shield this season, records tumbled. VT Trumper's score may not be broken for a very long time, and NSW felt confident enough to declare with many wickets in hand and leave their bowlers to do the work.

NSW 498-3 dec

VT Trumper 220; MA Noble 122; H Donnan 83
JC Reedman 1-38

A resilient South Australian side defied the odds and even took the lead!

NSW 498-3 dec
SA 500

JJ Lyons 101; J Darling 91; FT Hack 78; G Giffen 55
MA Noble 6-130

Second Innings

Another fine batting performance from the home side would be worthless if the bowlers didn't shape up.

NSW 498-3 dec + 390

SA 500

RA Duff 129; JJ Kelly 70
E Jones 3-87; G Giffen 3-93

And the bowlers were just not in this game at all as SA wobbled towards the end but ultimately gave the title to Victoria.

NSW 498-3 dec + 390

SA 500 + 389-8

FT Hack 110; A Green 68*; G Giffen 68
MA Noble 3-99

South Australia wins by two wickets
