Pittsburgh have to settle for a single point for a third straight game, Minnesota ending their opening road trip with a 2-1-1 record; the Flyers finally get it done on the powerplay (1-for-20 this year) with Dornhoefer scoring a Gordie Howe hat trick against the Blues; and Boston's first defeat comes in Chicago thanks to three unanswered second period goals including two from Mikita (4) with the game winner.
