About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1911/12 (S20), Game 5: South Australia vs New South Wales

South Australia vs New South Wales
Adelaide Oval
6th, 8th-11th January 1912

Lineups:
South Australia-ER Mayne, CE Dolling, C Hill, JN Crawford, DM Steele, JT Murray, CF Drew, KH Quist, WS Stirling, HW Webster, WJ Whitty

New South Wales- EP Barbour, EL Waddy, SH Emery, C Kelleway, W Bardsley, RB Minnett, GR Hazlitt, SE Gregory, VT Trumper, CG Macartney, A Cotter

First Innings
New South Wales got off to a good start reaching 125 before losing the first wickets, and the middle order did enough to reach a fine score on a very difficult pitch before the tail collapsed.

NSW 413
EL Waddy 119; RB Minnett 85; EP Barbour 66
JT Murray 4-79

The South Australian reply was okay, but it lacked someone to really excel and push the team along. NSW were now in pole position to take another win and put one hand on the Shield.

NSW 413
SA 303
CE Dolling 91; WS Stirling 51*
A Cotter 5-77

Second Innings
South Australia found it harder to take wickets consistently, despite the pitch really turning through days three and four. The opening three batsmen were out for 76, but the middle order again came through and the team declared on the eve of day five with a handsome lead.

NSW 413 + 400-8
SA 303
SE Gregory 132*; W Bardsley 93
JN Crawford 5-123

Once high scoring C Hill was caught at slip, the the remaining four batsmen combined for seven runs and a crushing defeat. This means New South Wales can clinch the Sheffield Shield with victory over Victoria in the final game of the season. Otherwise, it goes to the quotient rating.

NSW 413 + 400-8
SA 303 + 199
C Hill 90
SH Emery 7-37

New South Wales win by three-hundred-and-eleven runs.

DBS - - Atlanta Braves 2005 Part Eighteen

Ten Days in Atlanta -NLCS Edition

The final step towards the World Series started poorly as the Braves were shutout by Chris Carpenter, but the Braves then went on to win the next three games, two of which were in St Louis. Game four looked to be the match that would push Atlanta over the top as they came from behind to win in extra innings on the road for a 3-1 series lead. St Louis then took a one-run victory of their own before finding a way to beat up on both John Smoltz and Horacio Ramirez in the final two games for a well-earned comeback and a trip to the World Series.

Some fans and broadcasters are critical of a team who blows a series lead like that, but none of them gave them a chance to even be in this position a couple of months ago. So I see it as a victory to be in the NLCS, but a World Series would have been nice.

I hope you have enjoyed walking this road with myself and the Atlanta Braves.
