About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

Player of the Game Hockey - NHL 1967/68, March 9th

Saturday 9th March 1967
New York continue to be a bothersome team despite sitting six points outside of a playoff spot as they go 4-0-4 in their last eight, handing the North Stars an eighth straight game without victory; their longest winless run this season. Two goals from Gilbert (27), both assisted by Hadfield, coming either side of the first intermission gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead. M Hall (6) pulled Minnesota to within in, but D Marshall (11) scored a third for New York that would prove to be the game winner. Connelly (38) for the Stars and an empty netter by Goyette (19) for the Rangers completed the scoring.

H Richard (14), Lamaire (19) and Cournoyer (30) gave Montreal a 3-0 lead over Chicago and a sixth consecutive win, beating their previous best this season. Mikita (37) scored for the Blackhawks at 11:55 of the final period to avoid being shutout, and they now drop to the bottom of the East Division with two wins in the last eleven.

The second set of back-to-back wins in their last six earns Los Angeles a place at the table as they overtake the North Stars and move into fourth spot in the West, tying their defeated opponents of the day, Pittsburgh, in the process. Robinson (10), Joyal (24) and Flett (26) moved the Kings into a commanding 3-0 lead, but Bathgate (21) and Dea (10) countered with powerplay goals. LA, who are now 10-20-3 on the road, moved away again in the third period through Irvine (16) and a second goal of the game from Joyal (25), while Rivard (5) could only get the Penguins, who are winless in three after five straight victories, a little closer once more.

St Louis win on home ice for the twentieth time this year, winning back-to-back matches after seven losses in a row. McKenney (10), Melnyk (18) and Berenson (15) did the damage at one end while Hall stopped all twenty-three Oakland shots as the Seals suffer a fifth consecutive loss for the third time this season.

Conacher (10) and two goals from Ellis (28) for 3-0, and Pappin (11) for 4-1, made Toronto big favourites for another win on the year, but Detroit had other ideas as they stole a point. Prentice (20), who also had two assists, Ullman (19) unassisted, and a pair from Howe (37) that included the game-tying goal gave the Red Wings a sixth tie in nine games as they go four without a win. The Leafs, who had contributions from Walton with two assists, are 1-1-4 in their recent run.
