(8) Jimmy Wilde def. (14) Miguel Canto by Majority Decision
An even see-saw contest saw the favourite qualify into the quarterfinals, but only just. The judges went back and forth with scoring, but had an easy task during the sixth when Canto was put onto the deck on the first punch. It was then all he could do to survive the round. Predictably Wilde was able to take more control in the following rounds, but things would be on a knife edge going into the final round.
Canto, battered and bruised, had his spirits lifted with a good hard shot in the eleventh. this meant he could just about come back and get at least a draw, and a rematch, out of this. Wilde though was able to do just enough to impress the judges at the end.
Punches Landed/Attempted - Wilde 57/118 (48.30%), Canto 40/85 (47.05%)
Total Points (at the end of the last completed round) - Wilde 218, Canto 165
Judges Cards (at the end of the last completed round) - Wilde 114-114, 115-113, 114-113 Canto
Fouls - Wilde 0, Canto 1
Cuts Opened - Wilde 0, Canto 0
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.
About M.E. myself and I

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
