About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1914/15 (S23) Game 6: South Australia vs Victoria

South Australi vs Victoria
Adelaide Oval
19th-20th, 22nd-23rd February

Lineups:
South Australia- ER Mayne, AG Moyes, DM Steele, CE Pellew, RF Middleton, HB Willsmore, GC Campbell, WS Stirling, WJ Whitty, AP James, PH Coombe

Victoria- RL Park, J Ryder, FA Baring, LA Cody, GEJ Healy, C Kiernan, WW Armstrong, VJ Souter, FW Hyett, EA McDonald, H Ironmonger

First Innings
South Australia needed something of a miracle if they were to defeat Victoria here and beat them out to the title on quotient . As it turned out the whole thing was pretty moot when the openers of Victoria ripped up the bowling for a partnership of 225. A few cheaper wickets fell around tea and a second partnership began to kick on again.

VIC 511
RL Park 115; JL Ryder 104; WW Armstrong 103; VJ Souter 78
HB Willsmore 5-98; WJ Whitty 3-160

The South Australian openers did not exactly emulate their opposite numbers, but safer hands guided them onwards to within 200 runs of Victoria early on day four. Each of the four Victorian bowlers captured at least one wicket as the attack fed on a consistent diet of batsmen outside of the three high-scorers.

VIC 511
SA 319
CE Pellew 80; WS Striling 70; HB Willsmore 66
WW Armstrong 4-67; H Ironmonger 3-88

Second Innings
The follow on was naturally called and only CE Pellew managed to resemble a safe bet at the crease. WJ Whitty had to remove himself through sudden injury but would be able to bowl again when South Australia squeaked past the required total.

VIC 511
SA 319 + 220
CE Pellew 86; RF Middleton 39
EA McDonald 3-47; J Ryder 3-60

J Ryder was the long wicket taken, bowled clean by WJ Whitty, and Victoria win their first Sheffield Shield in seven seasons.

VIC 511 + 29-1
SA 319 + 220
RL Park 16*; J Ryder 12
WJ Whitty 1-17; AP James 0-12

Victoria win by nine wickets.
