Sydney Cricket Ground
9th-10th, 12th-14th January 1920
Lineups:
New South Wales- C Kelleway, W Bardsley, CJ Tozer, J Bogle, TJE Andrews, AT Ratcliffe, AF Kippax, HSTL Hendry, FA O'Keeffe, WF Ives, AA Mailey
South Australia- VY Richardson, DE Pritchard, PD Rundell, DM Steele, AJ Richardson, DRA Gehrs, HHM Bridgman, NL Williams, WJ Whitty, JWE Schultz, FR Lucas
First Innings
South Australia returned to form, struggling as they were with very good bowling, this time from HSTL Hendry. The side went from 181-5 at tea to 262-10 at the end of the first day, but it could have been worse when sitting at 88-4 with a high score of 26 from DE Pritchard.
SA 262
DRA Gehrs 55; DM Steele 49
HSTL Hendry 5-64; TJE Andrews 1-2
At least the South Australian bowling was improved, but still below the level needed to really stay with New South Wales on the scoreboard. Another five-for in the match helped keep the hosts honest, but NSW still managed four half-centuries with a trio of batsmen passing the milestone in a row.
SA 262
NSW 433
J Bogle 78; TJE Andrews 66; WF Ives 51; CJ Tozer 50
AJ Richardson 5-99; WJ Whitty 3-116
Second Innings
The Richardson pairing (they are unrelated by the way) has been the one true bright spot for South Australia, and it was AJ Richardson grabbing a century this time who, along with DRA Gehrs, managed to drag the team along with very little support. HSTL Hendry put in another high-end performance as part of an impressive debut season.
SA 262 + 320
NSW 433
AJ Richardson 102; DRA Gehrs 88
HSTL Hendry 6-96; TJE Andrews 1-29
W Bardsley's early exit for 9 was as a result of the wicketkeeper whipping off his bails, but C Kelleway and CJ Tozer renewed their partnership; this time they both made their half-centuries.
SA 262 + 320
NSW 433 + 150-1
C Kelleway 78*; CJ Tozer 61*
AJ Richardson 1-44; HHM Bridgman 0-23
New South Wales win by nine wickets.
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
