About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1919/20 (S23) Game 3: Victoria vs South Australia

Victoria vs South Australia
Melbourne Cricket Ground
2nd-3rd, 5th-7th January 1920

Lineups:
Victoria- ER Mayne, LA Cody, JL McNaughton, JL Keating, RL Park, J Ryder, LD Ferguson, AEV Hartkopf, WW Armstrong, JL Ellis, EA McDonald

South Australia- DRA Gehrs, DE Pritchard, PD Rundell, VY Richardson, DM Steele, AJ Richardson, RJB Townsend, NL Williams, JWE Schultz, WJ Whitty, FR Lucas

First Innings
With half the order reaching a maximum of six runs, three of those ducks, it was up to a few good men to take charge as South Australia put in a fine score to start the match. VY Richardson and DM Steele put in the best partnership of the innings and, coupled with another pair of good scores, took their team close to 400 despite the impotent tail after lunch on day two.

SA 390
VY Richardson 151; DM Steele 89; RJB Townsend 56*; DE Pritchard 54
WW Armstrong 3-67; EA McDonald 3-88

LA Cody was trapped lbw for a duck to give PD Rundell his only wicket, but a succession of centuries ripped up the South Australian bowling as their torrid season with the ball continues. The fourth wicket partnership fell six runs shy of breaking that particular record as Victoria declared with a decent lead.

SA 390
VIC 710-6 dec.
J Ryder 207*; JL Keating 175; RL Park 107; LD Ferguson 92; ER Mayne 55
FR Lucas 2-116; RJB Townsend 1-39

Second Innings
PD Rundell was unable to match his first innings score of six as he went leg before wicket for a duck, but some better batting through the order helped VY Richardson as he led the team with another very good score. There would be no individual bowling honours for Victoria, but each man who delivered picked up at least one wicket and a certain victory when they returned to the crease.

SA 390 + 333
VIC 710-6 dec.
VY Richardson 98; DRA Gehrs 67
WW Armstrong 3-58; JL McNaughton 3-103

A few overs of careful batting and Victoria get their first win of the season.

SA 390 + 333
VIC 710-6 dec. + 14-0
LA Cody 9*; ER Mayne 5*
WJ Whitty 0-5; PD Rundell 0-9

Victoria win by ten wickets.
