About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1910/11 (S19), Game 1: South Australia vs Victoria

South Australia vs Victoria
Adelaide Oval
28th-29th, 31st October - 1st November

Lineups:
South Australia-WA Hewer, GC Campbell, WJ Whitty, RBC Rees, S Hill, C Hill, JN Crawford, WL Chamberlain, AW Wright, DRA Gehrs, PW Zschorn

Victoria- TS Warne, DBM Smith, VS Ranford, WW Armstrong, HHL Kortlang, PA McAlister, FT Delves, A Kenny, GR Hazlitt, FJ Laver, W Carkeek

First Innings
South Australia opened the season with a decent score, but Victoria always found a wicket before a partnership could really take hold for big runs. One thing that will disappoint the home side is the collapse from 331-5 to 365-10 as the tail crumbled.

SA 365
WJ Whitty 88; S Hill 64; GC Campbell 56
FJ Laver 5-87; GR Hazlitt 3-102

Victoria also failed to put up any excellent partnerships but had good assistance from the tail as they pushed close to the score of South Australia.

SA 365
VIC 331
HHL Kortlang 78; FT Delves 73
JN Crawford 4-104

Second Innings
It was all turnabout for the hosts as they needed the lower order batsmen for every last run they could find after the opening four fell for a combined twenty-four runs; first inning high-scoring WJ Whitty went for a duck. Victoria just needed to show the spirit their bowlers did to take victory.

SA 365 + 224
VIC 331
WL Chamberlain 81*
GR Hazlitt 5-72

As it was, the away team fell short of the required total thanks to dominant bowling and poor batting from most of the order. All but three were bowled out as the South Australian attack found terrific line and length to steal the win.

SA 365 + 224
VIC 331 + 181
HHL Kortlang 48
AW Wright 4-30; WJ Whitty 3-66

South Australia wins by seventy-seven runs.
