About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1910/11 (S19), Game 2: Victoria Vs South Australia

South Australia vs Victoria
Melbourne Cricket Ground
25th-26th, 28th-30th November 1910

Lineups:
Victoria- WJ Scott, DBM Smith, W Carkeek, JA Seitz, HHL Kortlang, WW Armstrong, TS Warne, TJ Matthews, GR Hazlitt, A Kenny, FJ Laver

South Australia- ER Mayne, CE Dolling, C Hill, DRA Gehrs, JN Crawford, S Hill, LR Hill, RBC Rees, CR Moyle, WJ Whitty, AW Wright

First Innings
A tricky wicket gave the edge to the bowlers throughout this contest, but South Australia started well, scoring higher than on a batting wicket in the first meeting between these teams. They still have not found someone to make a century, but they did enough as a team despite the onslaught of GR Hazlitt.

SA 387
DRA Gehrs 86; RBC Rees 77; JN Crawford 66
GR Hazlitt 6-61; TJ Matthews 3-63

Victoria did find someone to score a century and then some, and HHL Kortlang's performance was much needed as much of the order struggled mightily, but they are within touching distance.

SA 387
VIC 364
HHL Kortlang 172*; WW Armstrong 74
RBC Rees 5-113

Second Innings
Slight deja vu as South Australia matched their first innings total with a few half-centuries. The first three batsmen were all out far too cheaper though, but the rest of the lineup did enough to put pressure on the home side.

SA 387 + 387
VIC 364
S Hill 84; CR Moyle 71*; DRA Gehrs 66
A Kenny 3-33; WW Armstrong 3-101

Victoria shared the same curse as they began 4-3 to mean that the ship desperately needed to be steadied. There was no high-scoring hero for them this time and they finally fell only halfway to their target.

SA 387 + 387
VIC 364 + 205
TS Warne 55
JN Crawford 5-39; RBC Rees 3-57

South Australia wins by two-hundred-and-five runs.
