First Innings
A tricky innings, on an equally tricky pitch, had South Australia start out by losing their opening batsmen for a run each. Bowling pressure was good throughout, bu a pair of good scores in the middle order pushed the away side on passed 250.

The Victorian reply was good, but it needed a highly impressive tenth wicket partnership (101) to get within touching distance let alone overtake their opponents tally. The star of the show though was bowler JC Reedman with a career-best performance.

Second Innings
South Australia looked like they were heading down a similar path to the first innings but, like previously, were able to kick on in the middle order. With the pitch turning even more, South Australia looked good for the double against Victoria.
