About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

Championship Drag Racing: 2009 Funny Car

Championship Drag Racing from Downey Games is an easy to play replay game. While not quite as fast as the real thing, it plays out at a comfortable speed through qualification and the actual races. The number of qualification rounds vary in real life, as do the racers involved, but I will be using all twenty-nine driver cards included in this set and a full four rounds of qualification for each meet.

Two d10 are used for everything in the game with dice and driver rating modifications based on the track involved. Each driver has three ratings rated A, B, C, D, or F: Mechanical, Handling, and Speed. MECH is used for when a roll is required on the Mechanical Trouble Chart. HAND is required on the Wheel Spin Chart. SPEED is needed to determine the finishing time when a driver rolls on one of the previous charts to SHUTDOWN.

Depending on where the driver ends up after the finishing line (A, B, C, D, MAX), charts are used to find the time down to a thousandth of a second and the top speed of that run. While the racers try to qualify with two cars on track in real life, it is performed on an individual basis in CDR. The top sixteen qualify for the knockout stages where two cars will be competing directly against each other.
