South Australia vs Victoria
Adelaide Oval
28th Feb-1st, 3rd-6th March
Lineups:
South Australia- ER Mayne, GC Campbell, C Hill, DRA Gehrs, AG Moyes, JN Crawford, RF Middleton, PD Rundell, RBC Rees, WJ Whitty, HJ McKay
Victoria- EV Carroll, EL Carroll, FA Baring, VS Ransford, WW Armstrong, TJ Matthews, MD Hotchin, C McKenzie, W Carkeek, JL McNaughton, WH Cannon
First Innings
A few good men were needed to get South Australia to a fine score as their inconsistencies of both teams continue through to the end of the season. This despite a brilliant opening partnership. A good batting wicket wasn't much help against Victoria's second pairing of bowlers.
SA 403
GC Cammpbell 111; ER Mayne 83; JN Crawford 77
WH Cannon 3-79; C McKenzie 3-83
A pair of ducks and only two half-centuries left Victoria trailing, but they did well to improve from 102-5 to 320-all out.
SA 403
VIC 320
WW Armstrong 86; JL Mcnaughton 59*
Second Innings
A much better batting performance had South Australia declaring in a comfortable position. This time only one Victorian bowler made much impact.
SA 403 + 433-6 dec.
VIC 320
ER Mayne 108; C Hill 85; JN Crawford 76*; AG Moyes 70
C McKenzie 4-90
Victoria also improved upon their previous display, but there was too much of a distance to make up. The tail collapsed but both EV Carroll and FA Baring were a long way away from where their scores should have been, with ducks to them in the first innings and a total of 28 runs between in the second.
SA 403 + 433-6 dec.
VIC 320 + 389
WW Armstrong 83; EL Carroll 76; TJ Matthews 76; VS Ransford 57
WJ Whitty 5-106; JN Crawford 4-120
South Australia win by one-hundred-and-twenty-seven runs.
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
