Montreal have returned to old ways with one win in their last four contests, this time losing in Chicago where four players had big games to move them onto a five game undefeated streak. R Hull (5) scored twice with an assist while Mikita (8), Wharram (5) and Pilote (1) all had a goal and two helpers.
The North Stars came back from a 0-3 deficit at 16:19 of the second period as St Louis looked in control with two of theie goals coming from B McCreary (5). Connolly (7), Collins (1) and Vasko (1) completing the comeback and Minnesota now has just one loss in five. Boston won their third on the bounce and are unbeaten in five thanks to two goals from McKenzie (6) and a game winner on the powerplay from Hodge (6); this was New York's first home loss, Hadfield (3) scoring their only goal.
Toronto lose back to back games for the first time this season as they were shocked in a shutout by Oakland who had goals from R Harris (4) and Baun (1), and the Penguins were also shutout with JC Watson (2) scoring the only goal of the game for Philadelphia.
