Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. CDR: 2009 Funny Car Lucas Oil Mist NHRA Nationals Elim #1

CHANDLER, Ariz. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of round 1 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Lucas Oil Slick Mist NHRA Nationals:

The terrific getaway from Jack Beckman was soon canceled out by engine trouble near the finish, leaving Mike Neff enough time to counter a lot of wheelspin and take the win.

One of the closest races you will see had both men start slow but stay together until right near the end.

An electric start from Tony Pedragon ultimately cruise his way through to the next round as Mike Smith encountered some minor problems with his vehicle as soon as he was off the starting line.

Another thrilling contest, this time between two Chargers who remained neck and neck until Matt Hagan was able to find a little more speed through the finish.

Despite a major mechanical shutdown from the number one qualifier, Cruz Pedragon had a disastrous start to the race that forced him to step completely off the power and crawl his way to the finish line.

Del Worsham had the quickest reaction time of the round but he suffered the more serious mechanical troubles leaving the way clear for Bob Bode.

Bob Gilbertson was able to keep his car in a straight line all the way on full power to defeat Jeff Arend who didn't do much wrong himself.

Even without the shutdown a third into the race Helander would have a tough time keeping pace with Ashley Force-Hood as her vehicle looked calm and controlled all the way down the track to complete a clean sweep of left lane victories for the first elimination round to put the top eight racers through to the next stage.
