Del Worsham and Tim Wilkerson are separated by seven-thousandths of a second in first and second place, third-placed Tony Pedregon is another 0.066 behind. Fifth in the championship Matt Hagan was one of six drivers unable to put in a time due to massive mechanical failures either sat at the starting line or, like Hagan, down the track. Bob Gilbertson sits only sixty-one points behind Tony Pedregon put in the ninth fastest time; third-placed Bob Tasca III is thirteenth.
