About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1924/25 (S28) Game 5: New South Wales vs Victoria

New South Wales vs Victoria
Sydney Cricket Ground
24th, 26th-28th January 1925

Lineups-
New South Wales- HO Rock, JG morgan, AT Ratcliffe, AF Kippax, BM Salmon, AP Wells, CV Morrissey, CHW lawes, ADA Mayes, JD Scott, MW Bosley

Victoria- ER Mayne, WM Woodfull, HSTL Hendry, AE Liddicut, FA Tarrant, AEV hartkopf, KJ Schneider, CB Willis, JL Ellis, DD Blackie, PH Wallace

First Innings
HO Rock and AT Ratcliffe looked solid, but the next highest score was ADA Mayes' unbeaten 39; the next was 23 from CV Morrissey yet somehow NSW were not far off 300 with HSTL Hendry and DD Blackie forming a formidable one-two punch.

NSW 277
AT Ratcliffe 75; HO Rock 51
DD Blackie 3-71; HSTL Hendry 3-83

If New South Wales' first innings score on a bowling pitch was below par then Victoria's was dismal. ER Mayne (29) and WM Woodfull 23) were out back-to-back and the score was 53-2, but that was followed by HSTL Hendry and AE Liddicut for ducks. FA Tarrant and AEV Hartkopf survived together an 85 run partnership, but CHW Lawes and JD Scott were not to be denied aside from the final wicket (PH Wallace 12, c. wicket-keeper, b. MW Bosley).

NSW 277
VIC 204
FA Tarrant 63; AEV Hartkopf 43
CHW Lawes 5-61; JD Scott 4-63

Second Innings
The pitch was disintegrating below their feet but HO Rock and JG Morgan's opening partnership was value for money at 170; HO Rock ending on the unluckiest score. A ray of light for Victoria followed with AT Ratcliffe (6) caught in daring fashion and AF Kippax (17) also ending up in someone's hands. BM Salmon (46) and AP Wells (35) did fine in the difficult circumstanes, but CV Morrissey excelled, lasting longer than anyone in the match.

NSW 277 + 481
VIC 204
CV Morrissey 113; HO Rock 99; JG Morgan 80
HSTL Hendry 3-127; A Liddicut 2-25

Victorias openers were dispatched by JD Scott before either of them could reach 20, and HSTL Hendry put on his own show before the same bowler took his third wicket to make the score 186-6. Like New South Wales, there were no ducks in the second innings for Victoria but CV Morrissey was on a mission to end with a deeply impressive score.

NSW 277 + 481
VIC 204 + 220
HSTL Hendry 80; KJ Schneider 49
CV Morrissey 7-43; JD Scott 3-59

New South Wales win by three-hundred-and-thirty-four runs.
