24th, 26th-28th January 1925
Lineups-
Victoria- J Ryder, WH Ponsford, HSB Love, KJ Millar, RL park, JL keating, VS Ransford, JA Atkinson, HS Gamble, WJ Rayson, H Ironmonger
New South Wales- HL Collins, W Bardsley, JM Taylor, TJE Andrews, LW Gwynne, C Kelleway, ATE Punch, WAS Oldfield, JEH Hooker, AA Mailey, CS Everett
First Innings
J Ryder registered the fourth highest score of the season and with support from HSB Love and KJ Millar Victoria were in fine shape at 312-4. But after RL Park (39) and JL keating (27) were removed from the crease, a grand total of 20 runs were added to the team total as the tail was crushed by CS Everett and a pair of run outs.
VIC 395
J Ryder 153; KJ Millar 82; HSB Love 56
CS Everett 4-59; C Kelleway 2-96
W Bardsley was caught out at deep mid wicket off H Ironmonger's bowling, but JM Taylor and friends carried on with commitment despite the title already in their hands. The pitch was not ideal for batting but that did not stop NSW passing 500 with everyone, outside of the aforementioned W Bardsley (3) reaching double-figures.
VIC 395
NSW 504
JM Taylor 134; TJE Andrews 79; LW Gwynne 76; WAS Oldfield 50*
WJ Rayson 3-86; HS Gamble 2-86
Second Innings
Victoria slumped throughout the second innings with only VS Ransford making himself look respectable. CS Everett was again a thorn in their sides with AA Mailey improving upon his first innings effort of 1-121.
VIC 395 + 224
NSW 504
VS Ransford 50; RL Park 32
CS Everett 4-49; AA Mailey 3-50
W Bardsley (13) again failed to gain a foothold, going for lbw this time, but remaining opener HL Collins along with JM Taylor cruised to a clean sweep for New South Wales this season.
VIC 395 + 224
NSW 504 + 116-1
HL Collins 60*; JM Taylor 42*
J Ryder 1-32; WJ Rayson 0-21
New South Wales win by nine wickets.
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
