There are now three men with 100% records as Harumafuji was outclassed from start to finish in his day's work against Kaio. Yoshikaze and Aran had reasons to celebrate as they both got off the mark with their maiden wins. Aran's was especially impressive as he defeated Wakanosoto in style after many expected the result to go the other way. Asashoryu, Hakuho, and Hokutoriki all remain undefeated as we pass the halfway point of the Basho.
