About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1906/07 (S15), Game 1: South Australia vs Victoria

South Australia (9/12) vs Victoria (9/11)
Adelaide Oval
10th, 12th-13th November 1906

Lineups:
South Australia- J Darling, DRA Gehrs, C Hill, JH Pellew, N Claxton, CB Jennings, EA Bailey, LR Hill, JDA O'Connor, A McBeath, AW Wright

Victoria- W Carkeek, F Vaughan, PA McAlister, J Ainslie, VS Ranford, EV Carroll, FJ Laver, TR Rush, EA Goss, FB Collins, JV Saunders

First Innings
With only a short respite with both N Claxton and CB Jennings at the crease, things went very badly for South Australia. Some great catches in the field to complement the superb bowling had Victoria feeling good about themselves.

SA 133
N Claxton 44; CB Jennings 44
EA Goss 5-35; JV Saunders 4-37

Despite the loss of both openers early and a collapse at the end, Victoria did well on a difficult pitch to take a good lead. The third, fourth, and fifth batsmen really took command and gave their team every chance to take victoru.

SA 133
VIC 291
J Ainslie 96; PA McAlister 68; VS Ranford 51
A McBeath 5-93; JDA O'Connor 3-55

Second Innings
South Australia had to improve, but it took a couple of the lower-order guys to get distance ahead of Victoria. The bowling and fielding continued to be of the highest quality, and the hosts needed to hope they could have some of that themselves.

SA 133 + 254
VIC 291
EA Bailey 68; JDA O'Connor 63
JV Saunders 4-64

And find some they did, but just not enough. With Victoria sweating at 77-6, the experienced FJ Laver steadied the ship and guided his team home for the win in just three days,

SA 133 + 254
VIC 291 + 97-6
FJ Laver 23*
A McBeath 3-35

Victoria wins by four wickets
