New South Wales (14/15) vs Victoria (9/11)
Sydney Cricket Ground
25th-26th, 28th-29th January 1907
Lineups:
New South Wales- RA Duff, VT Trumper, MA Noble, AJY Hopkins, A Diamond, EL Waddy, CG Macartney, MH Blaxland, A Cotter, H Carter, GL Garnsey
Victoria- M Ellis, PA McAlister, EV Carroll, WW Armstrong, F Vaughan, TR Rush, TIB Horan, LP Vernon, W Carkeek, GR Hazlitt, JV Saunders
First Innings
With their eighth consecutive title in the bag, New South Wales came out to bat and looked comfortable throughout, but no one batsmen really excelled above all others. The late partnership of CG Macartney and A Cotter really kicked on during the second day, and set a decent total for their opponents to aim for.
NSW 492
A Cotter 85; CG Macartney 83; RA Duff 69; MA Noble 67; A Diamond 53
JV Saunders 4-113; WW Armstrong 3-143
The reply was lacking in self-belief and confidence as Victoria crashed to a poor score with only the opener registering a good score. They were promptly forced to follow on.
NSW 492
VIC 190
M Ellis 58
GL Garnsey 4-25; A Cotter 3-29
Second Innings
A much better performance saw PA McAlister show again that he is a leading batsman of his time. The rest of the order improved in places, but still lacked any hope of pushing New South Wales at all. They did however scrape beyond the required score, and left the champions a simple finish.
NSW 492
VIC 190 + 333
PA McAlister 146
CG Macartney 4-108; AJY Hopkins 3-25
A run each for the openers was all it took to claim another clean sweep on the year for New South Wales.
NSW 492 + 2-0
VIC 190 + 333
RA Duff 1*; VT Trumper 1*
New South Wales win by ten wickets
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
