About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1906/07 (S15), Game 3: Victoria vs New South Wales

Victoria (9/11) vs New South Wales (14/15)
Melbourne Cricket Ground
24th, 26th-27th December 1906

Lineups:
Victoria- PA McAlister, F Vaughan, TS Warne, WW Armstrong, EV Carroll, TR Rush, VS Ranford, FJ Laver, W Carkeek, GR Hazlitt, JV Saunders

New South Wales- RA Duff, A Diamond, AJY Hopkins, CG Macartney, MA Noble, EL Waddy, RN Hickson, EF Waddy, H Carter, A Cotter, GL Garnsey

First Innings
The early work of RA Duff sent New South Wales on their way, but it was a surprise when they failed to reach four-hundred runs. It was only thanks to a ninth wicket partnership of 122 that they even came close, and Victoria would be feeling pretty good about their chances of making a match of it.

NSW 386
RA Duff 102; H Carter 88; CG Macartney 57
FJ Laver 5-55

New South Wales had other ideas however and decimated the hosts in very short order. Three batsmen hit double figures while four walked away with nothing. It was an easy call for the visitors to enforce a follow on.

NSW 386
VIC 87
FJ Laver 33
A Cotter 6-32; MA Noble 3-30

Second Innings
Things went much better second time around despite a deteriorating pitch with all but four Victorians failing to get into double figures. The home side almost matched their previous innings total before losing their first wicket at 83-1, and a late surge pushed them close to the total needed to force their opponents in to bat again, but it was not to be.

NSW 386
VIC 87 + 265
F Vaughan 51
A Cotter 4-74

New South Wales win by an innings and thirty-four runs
