About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1906/07 (S15), Game 5: New South Wales vs South Australia

New South Wales (14/15) vs South Australia (9/12)
Sydney Cricket Ground
4th-5th, 7th January 1907

Lineups:
New South Wales- RN Hickson, A Diamond, AJY Hopkins, EF Waddy, MA Noble, MH Blaxland, EL Waddy, CG Macartney, A Cotter, H Carter, GL Garnsey

South Australia- DRA Gehrs, ER Mayne, JH Pellew, CE Dolling, N Claxton, D McRae, CB Jennings, LR Hill, JDA O'Connor, A McBeath, AW Wright

First Innings
South Australia wanted to use the condition of the pitch to their advantage early on so New South Wales were put in to bat. Surprisingly the strategy paid off somewhat as the home team managed just a few good performances; a rare event for New South Wales.

NSW 302
MH Blaxland 97; CG Macartney 56; A Diamond 50
LR Hill 4-56

South Australia fell short of the mark when they entered the crease with the opening batsmen out for a run each, and the tailenders collapsing. The middle order however did well, but just needed someone to take control and lead the way.

NSW 302
SA 244
CB Jennings 48*
GL Garnsey 3-66

Second Innings
More problems for New South Wales as, aside from MH Blaxland, only five men hit doube figures with several players falling victim for no score. South Australia suddenly had a chance to give their opponents their first defeat in years.

NSW 302 + 221
SA 244
MH Blaxland 110
JDA O'Connor 3-65; LR Hill 3-65; N Claxton 1-0

A terrific partnership of 136 was not enough to balance out the five ducks and three single-figure scores from the rest of the order. South Australia did well to get as high as they did after going from 50-2 to 50-5, and the obliteration of the tailenders had them fall well short of the winning total.

NSW 302 + 221
SA 244 + 189
N Claxton 68; LR Hill 64
CG Macartney 6-45

New South Wales win by ninety runs.
