A bit of switch from batting to bowling leaves New South Wales the top dog going into another season. A far more balanced team should claim their eighth Shield in a row as their domination of almost a decade marches on.
South Australia 9/12 (10/10 last season)
The South Australians gain some bowling again, but are expected to slip ever so slightly with the bat. It looks as though it will be a battle for runners-up spot again for a ninth consecutive year.
Victoria 9/11 (11/11 last year)
More batting slippage, and it has been seven seasons since they became the last team to finish ahead of New South Wales.
