South Australia (9/12) vs New South Wales (14/15)
Adelaide Oval
15th, 17th-19th December 1906
Lineups:
South Australia- DRA Gehrs, JH Pellew, C Hill, N Claxton, D McRae, CE Dolling, JDA O'Connor, ER Mayne, JPF Travers, A McBeath, AW Wright
New South Wales- RA Duff, A Diamond, MA Noble, EF Waddy, CW Gregory, AJY Hopkins, EL Waddy, CG Macartney, A Cotter, H Carter, GL Garnsey
First Innings
C Hill saved the day for South Australia as everyone else bar N Claxton failed to impress. Reaching only 22-3 early on, the aforementioned pairing got things moving along nicely, helping their side bat into a second day, if only to lose their final two wickets in the opening over.
SA 253
C Hill 102; N Claxton 51
A Cotter 3-64; CG Macartney 3-76
An expected replay from New South Wales had them storm into the lead, but what was surprising was a lack of any centuries. Four players made their half-centuries, but their wings were always clipped before getting too close to the next milestone.
SA 253
NSW 453
A Cotter 79; CG Macartney 72; EF Waddy 60; AJY Hopkins 54
AW Wright 4-101; JDA O'Connor 3-124
Second Innings
A better start, and a fine tailend performance from A McBeath, saw the hosts creep above the total needed in order to make New South Wales bat again. It was only a small victory though as C Hill once again was the one bright spot against a formidable bowling attack.
SA 253 + 213
NSW 453
C Hill 58
AJY Hopkins 4-44; MA Noble 3-65
The away team kept it clean, and easily made the runs needed for victory.
SA 253 + 213
NSW 453 + 14-0
RA Duff 7*; A Diamond 6*
JDA O'Connor 0-6
New South Wales win by ten wickets
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
