About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

DICE Hockey - NHL 1962-63 Playoffs April 7th

Sunday April 7th 1963
Toronto wins best-of-seven series 4-2

1st 2nd 3rd T
(1) CHI 1 0 1 2
(3) TOR 0 3 2 5

The Blackhawks opened the scoring for the third time in the series and, after killing two minor penalties to Balfour (slashing) and Fleming (hooking), could have had all the momentum after the puck went in with less than ten seconds to play. As it was, the Toronto third line got them rolling. Dick Duff scored his first of the playoffs after a ten goal regular season before defenceman Allan Stanley also grabbed his first.

Another first-timer to score was Bob Pulford on the powerplay after Chicago could not stop putting themselves in the box, killing off four straight in the game before the Maple Leafs broke through. A seventeen second span at the start of the final period broke the Blackhawks. Armstrong, second in goals behind the Detroit pairing of Howe and MacDonald, and Bob Nevin off the restart made it 5-1. Ab McDonald scored his second of the series with little over four minutes to play, but it was far too late to stop the Toronto Maple Leafs from moving on into the Stanley Cup Finals.

  1. Sort of rendered the regular season moot then?
I'm not surprised Chicago got beat as they ran up that record right at the start of the season but for Montreal to get swept by Detroit was a surprise. I'll go, fwiw, for Detroit as a #4 seed to win Lord Stanley.
