9th-10th, 12th-13th January 1914
Lineups:
South Australia- ER Mayne, DM Steele, JN Crawford, AG Moyes, WL Chmaberlain, C Hill, CE Pellew, HP Kirkwood, A Smith, WJ Whitty, CL Winser
New South Wales- LA Cody, HL Collins, CG Macartney, TJE Andrews, CG McKew, W Bardsley, C Kelleway, BJ Folkard, A Cotter, RJA Massie, AA Mailey
First Innings
South Australia were counting on the pitch turning just a little to help them out but were left wanting as New South Wales put in another dazzling batting performance through the best part of two days. HL Collins fell for 29 while his opening partner went on to fall shy of a century. the LA Cody wicket was the start of a small comeback from the bowlers as two other batsmen also fell at the 178 mark. CG McKew soon put paid to that as he put together a 179 run partnership before the tailenders marched on to 500.

CG McKew 154; LA Cody 90; W Bardsley 79; CG Macartney 53
WJ Whitty 5-136; HP Kirkwood 2-93
There was consistency through much of the South Australian order, but that resulted in in six batsmen heading back to the pavilion with scores all in the thirties. The rest of the lineup was hard pressed to get half as much and New South Wales quickly had their opponents bat again

C Hill 38; ER Mayne 36
RJA Massie 4-69; AA Mailey 3-45; A Cotter 3-48
Second Innings
The opening partnership of ER Mayne and DM Steele once again started brightly but were cut down, along with the next three scoreless batsmen, for a total of 51 runs. This soon became 84-7 and only an unbeaten score from CE Pellew got them above a hundred runs before the final three wickets also capitulated for no gain.
This means New South Wales wrap up their fourteenth Sheffield Shield title, and are odds-on to go unbeaten for the twelfth time of asking.

CE Pellew 37*; ER Mayne 25
RJA Massie 4-50; AA Mailey 2-0
New South Wales win by an innings and one-hundred-and-fifty-seven runs.
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
