About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CDR: 2009 Funny Car Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals Elim #1

BRAINERD, Minn. - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of round 1 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 28th annual Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals:

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 9 R Ashley FORCE-HOOD Mustang 0.102 4.426 285.0
L 8 L Mike SMITH Monte Carlo 0.211 11.763 65.3

Mike Smith has lost three races in a row since defeating Ashley Force-Hood at the Northwest Nationals. A terrible start, and the quick shutdown from Smith, was later credited to a severe problem with the inner workings of his car.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 10 R Matt HAGAN Charger 0.083 4.709 290.5
L 7 L Jim HEAD Solara 0.124 5.640 278.5

A first-time race between these two was not one to send the crowd into raptures but the better start from Hagan was enough to build early momentum and see off Head.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 8 R Bob GILBERTSON Stratus 0.098 4.007 301.3
L 11 L Del WORSHAM Solara 0.098 5.458 281.5

Another debut meeting and one which Bob Gilbertson, after failing to qualify in the last event, had little to worry about even without some wheelspin from Worsham.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 12 L Bob TASCA III Mustang 0.069 4.026 294.8
L 5 R Ron CAPPS Charger 0.089 5.266 304.5

Ron Capps continues to struggle through the second half of the season losing to Tasca III for the third time in 2009 who in turn has won at least one race in his last ten events.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 16 L Daniel WILKERSON Impala 0.065 4.187 288.0
L 1 R Tim WILKERSON Mustang 0.086 4.560 285.5

After the effort of qualifying fastest and winning the Fram Autolite nationals Tim Wilkerson falls at the first hurdle to his son, Daniel, tying the season series between them at 1-1.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 2 R Tony PEDREGON Impala 0.072 4.006 296.3
L 15 L Jeff AREND Solara 0.091 4.741 293.5

Arend's lean streak of one win in his last five races since reaching the final four events ago continues, and Tony Pedregon beats out Gilbertson as the fastest man on track in the round by 0.001 and goes 2-0 against Arend.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 13 L Brian THIEL Monte Carlo 0.092 4.028 313.8
L 4 R Mike NEFF Mustang 0.093 No Time N/A

Brian Thiel earns his fifth win of the year by default, although his performance was worthy of victory. Mike Neff now has a 10-15 record this season, reaching two finals and losing in ten first round races, including the last three.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 14 L Jack BECKMAN Charger 0.084 4.062 300.3
L 3 R Robert HIGHT Mustang 0.105 4.605 285.5

After winning only one race in the eight of twelve events he qualified for, Jack Beckman has won five on the bounce with his sweep of the Mopar Mile-High event three rounds past. Robert Hight's record degrades to 7-14 with defeat in his debut against Beckman.
