About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

Player of the Game Hockey - NHL 1967/68, Feb 17th

Saturday 17th February 1968
This Saturday night was more than alright for fighting as all but the Rangers/Leafs game had a bout starting in Detroit where B Marshall took on Mohns of Chicago in a scoreless first period. The Blackhawks then ran out to a 3-1 lead heaidng into the final frame with two goals from Wharram (19) to take him past fifty points and a powerplay effort by D Hull (10). But they remain winless in three straight as the Wings came back with K Douglas' (8) second before Delvecchio (16) tied it up to leave Detroit unbeaten in four.

The North Stars enjoy back-to-back victories after going eight winless and are now tied with Philadelphia for second place in the West after defeating the division leading Blues despite blowing a 3-0 lead. Cullen (25) scored on a penalty shot before Connelly (36) and Boudrias (21) tallied either side of the first intermission. Ecclestone (9) and B McCreary (20) brought St Louis back within one and the game was tied 3-3 in the final period thanks to Berenson (12). Goldsworthy (15) scored a powerplay marker that proved to be the game winner, Parise (9) added an empty netter before N Picard and Balon dropped the gloves as the Blues have just one win in four.

Montreal ran out easy winners, picking up their tenth team shutout with Vachon earning his second clean sheet of the season. It's only a second win in five though for the Habs and it took twenty minutes and twelve seconds for the game's opening goal when G Tremblay (26) was tripped on a breakaway to bring about his penalty shot. Beliveau (14), Larose (2) and two from Duff (18) eased them past the Penguins who are 3-7-0 in their last ten with three back-to-back losses in that span. MacNeil vs Laperriere was the fight in the first period.

Boston have not suffered a loss in three straight but could only manage a tie in Oakland who had two goals from Cahan (8) either side of the Awrey vs T Pratt bout early in the third period. Shack (12) scored first on the powerplay and Hodge (24) was required to get on the board late in the game; Esposito picked up assists on both.

It's a third loss in five for Toronto as they are brought down by the Rangers in Giacomin's fourth shutout of the year and their third victory in five. Ratelle (23) scored shorthanded 10:£3 into the first period before Geoffrion (1) finally scored a goal, his eleventh point of the year. D Marshall (7) and Hadfield (15) then grabbed their scores in each of the next two periods.
