The lone game saw the Los Angeles Kings earn their first three game win streak coming out on top in the Battle of California moving themselves three points ahead of Oakland, also leapfrogging the Penguins for a playoff position.
Kings' B Smith (9) and Seals' Ehman (6) had the goals that saw a tied game heading into the first intermission, but a controlling second frame by LA with goals from B Hughes (2) on the powerplay, Gray (4) for his first game winner, and Menard (3) looked to have the result locked up for the hosts.
Another 1-1 period, Hicke (13) getting a powerplay goal for Oakland and Joyel (9) restoring the three goal gap, was not nearly enough for the Seals to avoid a run of seven games that includes just one win.
