Armstrong (11), Walton (21) and Pappin (7) make it four wins in five for the Toronto Maple Leafs; Bucyk's (22) unassisted goal made it 2-1 late in the second period and its four wins in the last six for Boston.

The LA Kings are unbeaten in their last three but missed the chance to retake fourth spot in the West after blowing a 2-0 lead against the Penguins heading into the final period. R Lemieux (7) and Labossiere (11) both scored in the first period, but Schinkel's (7) powerplay goal twenty seconds after the second intermission got Pittsburgh on the board where they tied it up through Stratton (12) with just ten seconds to play.

Minnesota also blew their chance for a win after Philadelphia came back twice through Hoekstra (10), with Flyers' leading points scorer Sutherland (15+17) assisting on both, after P MacDonald (15) put the North Stars ahead both times. It's one win in six for Philadelphia despite a wealth of powerplay opportunities in the final frame, and Minnesota have lost just one of their last four and they had a bunch of their chances on the man advantage through the first period.
