Ron Capps has only made it past the quarterfinal stage once this season, but is one of three drivers who has qualified in every event. Here he leads the way by almost a whole tenth of a second ahead of Robert Hight; Tim Wilkerson is only another .002 behind. Bob Gilbertson put in the thirteenth best time coming off his win over Tony Pedregon who sits in fifteenth.
