About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1920/21 (S24) Game 3: New South Wales vs South Australia

New South Wales vs South Australia
Sydney CG
3rd-4th, 6th-10th December 1920

Lineups:
New South Wales- ATE Punch, J Bogle, TJE Andrws, JM Taylor, W Bardsley, C Kelleway, JM Gregory, FA O'Keeffe, HSTL Hendry, WAS Oldfield, AA Mailey

South Australia- CE PEllew, VY Richardson, LV Pellew, PD Rundell, DM Steele, AJ Richardson, DM Henry, HHM Bridgman, CL Winser, HM Fisher, AW Wright

First Innings
South Australia were forced to endure another rough innings, this time at the hands of New South Wales' confident attacking style at the crease. ATE Punch's demise for lbw off HM Fisher led to the beginning of a 261 run partnership that looked unstoppable until a fantastic piece of fielding at backward short leg took care of TJE Andrews. J Bogle and JM Taylor followed quickly before the runs started flowing again.

NSW 703-7 dec.
J Bogle 198; TJE Andrews 126; W Bardsley 103
HHM Bridgman 2-53; AW Wright 2-168

The reply stated poorly for SA with both starters back in the pavilion with 27 runs on the board, but then they found their own batting magic and set to work on cutting into the New South Wales lead. Wickets were hard to come by through the middle order with a pair of tons being score among three half-century scores. Despite the excellence shown at the crease, New South Wales still enforced the follow on (NB: I neglected to keep track of when the follow-on rules changed from 120 runs to 200).

NSW 703-7 dec.
SA 573
AJ Richardson 174; LV Pellew 126
AA Mailey 4-156; HSTL Hendry 3-116

Second Innings
The opening partnership held on much better second time around and LV Pellew had no spectacular fielding to stop him again. PD Rundell and DM Steele, who scored 73 and 54 in the first innings, were out for ducks, and AJ Richardson was stopped a single run short of a half-century.. On the other side it was all about AA Mailey's dominance, taking eight wickets, six of which came in a row.

NSW 703-7 dec.
SA 573 + 462
LV Pellew 206*; VY Richardson 81; HHM Bridgman 50
AA Mailey 8-142; HSTL Hendry 1-85

J Bogle and TJE Andrews would not repeat their stellar showings in the first innings, falling for 20 and 1 respectively, but another pair of centurions kicked on for the team to win a long match.

NSW 703-7 dec. + 333-3
SA 573 + 462
ATE Punch 151; JM Taylor 148*
AJ Richardson 3-104; PD Rundell 0-28

New South Wales win by seven wickets.
