About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1920/21 (S24) Game 6: New South Wales vs Victoria

New South Wales vs Victoria
Sydney Cricket Ground
25th-29th January 1921

Lineups:
New South Wales- HL Collins, JM Taylor, JM Gregory, W Bardsley, TJE Andrews, HSTL Hendry, FA O'Keeffe, EEB Forssberg, AT Ratcliffe, AA Mailey, E Trenerry

Victoria- ER Mayne, RL Park, CB Willis, AW Lampard, J Ryder, AE Liddicut, JL Keating, HCA Sandford, JL Ellis, EA McDonald, H Ironmonger

First Innings
EA McDonald led the Victorian charge early on, taking the wickets of both openers for 10 and 0 respectively. Four of the next five batsmen, however, were tougher outs. Led by JM Gregory the runs started to build up for New South Wales as they tried to come out on top in this must win game. The tail was also strong-willed and were the difference in passing 400.

NSW 432
JM Gregory 112; FA O'Keeffe 76; W Bardsley 71; TJE Andrews 52
EA McDOnald 4-113; AE Liddicut 2-95

Wickets tumbled thanks to the balanced and determined bowling attack as Victoria were under immense pressure throughout their reply, but a pair of century makers took them within touching distance to leave the match wide open.

NSW 432
VIC 421
JL Keating 164*; AW Lampard 134
E Trennery 3-62; AA Mailey 3-124

Second Innings
HSTL Hendry had failed to collect a wicket in the first innings, and only had his seven runs from his previous batting effort for his total match contribution as he was caught for duck; AT Ratcliffe had the exact same story but the rest of the lineup all reached double figure scores, yet only two 70+ scores took them over 300 for a nailbiting finish as the pitch turned during the second innings.

NSW 432 + 303
VIC 421
TJE Andrews 73; JM Gregory 70
H Ironmonger 4-87; J Ryder 3-57

AW Lampard led by example once again, but this time he had good support from several key members in the lineup. The best push came after Victoria fell to 100-3, kicking on for another 191 runs before losing further wickets. Things felt a little tense at 301-6, but JL Keating remained Mr Unbeaten for the match to guide them home to their second Shield title in three years, only losing out last season's by the slimmest of tie-breaker margins.

NSW 432 + 303
VIC 421 + 315-6
AW Lampard 105; J Ryder 88; RL Park 53
AA Mailey 3-97; HSTL Hendry 2-59

Victoria win by four wickets.
