About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1921/22 (S25) Game 2: Victoria vs New South Wales

Victoria vs New South Wales
Melbourne Cricket Ground
24th, 26th-29th December 1921

Lineups:
Victoria- RL Park, HCA Sandford, CB Willis, AE Liddicut, J Ryder, VS Ransford, ER Mayne, AEV Hartlopf, AW Lampard, JL Ellis, EA McDonald

New South Wales- H Cranney, ATE Punch, HSB Love, HL Collins, TJE Andrews, JM Taylor, JM Gregory, HSTL Hendry, H Carter, JCLS Wall, AA Mailey

First Innings
A 187 run partnership sent Victoria on it's way before a string of cheap wickets delayed them on the road to almost 500 runs. While his opening partner cruised into triple-figures, HCA Sandford was very unlucky to end his day where he did and that was enough to spark the bowling attack to rip through the 3-6 batsmen and finish off RL Park. ER Mayne and his two reliable partners, AEV Hartkopf (41) and AW Lampard (48*), steadied things down and took them onwards.

VIC 486
RL Park 134; HCA Sandford 99; ER Mayne 83
AA Mailey 4-123; JM Gregory 3-90

AE Liddicut took six consecutive wickets during the New South Wales reply, starting with high-scoring HSB Love. The remaining three batsmen in the first four to walk out to the crease combined for for little over half what their number three man accomplished. The second half of the order did what they could against the prowess of Liddicut, but they fell short of avoiding the follow on.

VIC 486
NSW 251
HSB Love 53; HSTL Hendry 44
AE Liddicut 6-61; AEV Hartkopf 2-52

Second Innings
After falling first in the last innings, H Cranney outlasted three batsman scoring half the team's runs in the process, including HSB Love who only managed 11. The field took five catches in the second innings after seven in the first, but it was a harder road for Victoria to get through the order. They would have to bat again.

VIC 486
NSW 251 + 338
H Cranney 60; JM Gregory 58
EA McDonald 3-116; AEV Hartkopf 2-45

RL Park lasted a couple of deliveries before taking one in the body, retiring him from the match, and AE Liddicut added a single run to the pair he scored on day one. Despite the troubles a partnership of 84 was enough to guide them close to their required total.

VIC 486 + 104-3
NSW 251 + 338
CB Willis 45; HCA Sandford 38
JM Gregory 1-20; ATE Punch 1-25

Victoria win by seven wickets.
