L | 1 | R | Del WORSHAM | Solara | 0.096 | 4.653 | 276.5 |
Wheelspin played it's part in a small shock as Del Worsham crashed out as fastest qualifier to John Force in their first meeting for eighteen events, but Worsham still has a 2-1 advantage. Force has eight wins on the year, but has only progressed past the quarterfinals once before.
W/L | # | L | Driver | Car | R/T | E.T. | Speed |
W | 8 | R | Ashley FORCE-HOOD | Mustang | 0.025 | 4.022 | 314.0 |
L | 9 | L | Mike NEFF | Mustang | 0.093 | 4.194 | 391.3 |
A revenge race for Ashley Force-Hood as she lost once to Mike Neff back in the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals quarterfinals, which Neff moved on from to appear in his second final of the season. Since then he has an appalling 3-14 record, while Force-Hood is 18-10 over the same period, including the next two event finals.

W | 4 | R | Robert HIGHT | Mustang | 0.110 | 4.732 | 281.5 |
L | 13 | L | Gary DENSHAM | Impala | 0.134 | 6.772 | 206.5 |
Gary Densham qualifies for the first time in seven tries but falls at the first hurdle for the fourth event. Robert Hight is looking to end the year with some consistency as his record stands at 12-16 with ten QF appearances, but only one two semifinals.
W/L | # | L | Driver | Car | R/T | E.T. | Speed |
W | 5 | R | Ron CAPPS | Charger | 0.112 | 4.596 | 292.5 |
L | 12 | L | Bob GILBERTSON | Stratus | 0.083 | 5.401 | 267.5 |
This result will give hope to those chasing Bob Gilbertson as his season falls apart towards the end. In the past three events he has failed to qualify once and lost in the opening race of the other two. Ron Capps meanwhile is 7-5 in his last six events to put him in a good seventh place in the championship.

W | 2 | R | Bob TASCA III | Mustang | 0.069 | 4.215 | 300.3 |
L | 15 | L | Bob BODE | Impala | 0.120 | 6.566 | 216.3 |
That's twelve consecutive losses for Bode, his second to Tasca III after winning their inaugural meeting of 2009. It's all about Tasca III coping with the pressure, winning finals and beating Tony Pedregon.

W | 7 | R | Tim WILKERSON | Mustang | 0.102 | 4.159 | 297.8 |
L | 10 | L | Matt HAGAN | Charger | 0.058 | 4.794 | 288.0 |
Both drivers have a combined ten final appearances this season. The most recent final winner is dumped here in the first round by the man he beat in the semifinals. Tim Wilkerson is one win shy of 30 with five final appearances (4-1); Matt Hagan (27-16) has won four of his five finals.
W/L | # | L | Driver | Car | R/T | E.T. | Speed |
W | 3 | R | Tony PEDREGON | Impala | 0.029 | 4.046 | 310.8 |
L | 14 | L | Jack BECKMAN | Charger | 0.121 | 5.144 | 270.3 |
There would be no shock result to ease Bob Tasca III's jitters, although Beckman had beat out the championship leader on his way to a second consecutive final victory at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals. Tony Pedregon is 15-6 in the last eight events with one non-qualification, four semifinals and two final loses.
W/L | # | L | Driver | Car | R/T | E.T. | Speed |
W | 11 | L | Jeff AREND | Solara | 0.099 | 4.440 | 280.0 |
L | 6 | R | Daniel WILKERSON | Impala | No Start | No Time | N/A |
It's two-for-two against Daniel Wilkerson this year for Jeff Arend as even his one minor engine concerns were no match for his opponent failing to get off the starting line. Arend has eleven first race victories in nineteen successful qualifications, progressing into the semis on five occasions. Wilkerson is now 2-8 and this was his first race in five events.
