About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CDR 2009 Eliminations #2-4 - Las Vegas NHRA Nationals

LAS VEGAS - SUMMIT FastNews - Results of eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, Ninth annual NHRA Las Vegas Nationals:

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 9 R Matt HAGAN Charger 0.099 4.020 311.8
L 16 L Jack WYATT Firebird 0.084 No Time N/A

Matt Hagan makes his way into a seventh semifinal of the year and will hoping his form will continue after reaching the final in five of those races. Jack Wyatt's car conspired against any chance he may have had to race in a second semi of 2009.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 4 R Bob TASCA III Mustang 0.093 4.189 301.8
L 12 L Bob GILBERTSON Stratus 0.069 4.713 279.5

A fortieth race win for Tasca III was an eighth contest in the battle of the Bobs. Gilbertson,  losing this race through wheelspin two-thirds down the track, holds a 5-3 season advantage despite losing three of the last four in this rivalry.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 7 L Tony PEDREGON Impala 0.083 5.591 274.0
L 2 R Ron CAPPS Charger 0.095 9.455 84.0

This was a race Pedregon should have lost but a very near disaster for Ron Capps decided the result. Capps (20-22) suffered a poor start but but even worse wheelspin midway down the track, almost sending him into the wall. Pedregon started fine but ended quite slowly to take his 47th victory of 2009.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 6 R Ashley FORCE-HOOD Mustang 0.016 3.976 314.0
L 14 L Brian THIEL Monte Carlo 0.106 No Time N/A

It would not have mattered how Brian Thiel managed to get down the track, no-one would be able to beat Ashley Force-Hood and her incredible time of 3.976 to continue her streak of three consecutive semifinal appearances.

SEMIFINALS

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 9 R Matt HAGAN Charger 0.083 5.500 274.0
L 4 L Bob TASCA III Mustang RED No Time N/A

This red light for Bob Tasca III seals the championship for Tony Pedregon. The minimum gap between the drivers will, at best, decrease by just two points to 119. It was a winnable race for him but, as it was, Matt Hagan claims victory number thirty, secrues a place in his sixth final, and ties the season series with his opponent to 2-2.

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 7 L Tony PEDREGON Impala 0.070 4.040 313.8
L 6 R Ashley FORCE-HOOD Mustang 0.090 4.040 303.3

Twenty-one rounds, ten meetings, and Tony Pedregon has won another four in a row over Force-Hood either side of her two victories. But this one could not have been any closer and had to be decided by the holeshot of Pedregon's superior start.

FINAL

W/L # L Driver Car R/T E.T. Speed
W 9 R Matt HAGAN Charger 0.104 4.990 273.5
L 7 L Tony PEDREGON Impala RED No Time N/A

Tony Pedregon is the champion, but will have to win two races in the final event of the season to reach fifty race wins this season. This is the third final between the drivers and Matt Hagan has now won his fifth event, second over Pedregon thanks to a second red light of the day.
