Back in event eleven, the United Association NHRA SuperNationals, Terry Haddock made his only qualification of the season - until now. On the first run of qualification in the penultimate event of 2009, Haddock was the fastest driver around and immediately booked his second race appearance of the season.

Bob Tasca III is just 0.014 behind as he scraps for every point he can until he is officially out of the running. Championship leader Tony Pedregon's time is good enough for tenth fastest. There were eight drivers who failed to start or finish in their first attempt.
