Aside from a blip in the fourth that saw Wilde hit the deck, it was plain sailing for the Welshman, and the win puts him into a great position for qualification to the knockout stages. Both men had the other wobbling in the first two rounds with Wilde in full control of the opening three rounds.
In round four it was Brown looking like he could make a real go of this, but Wilde put his head down took another four straight rounds with ease. A late warning in the final round would not affect the outcome, leaving the man from Los Angeles the unenviable task of needing a win against the highest seed in the group, Betulio Gonzalez.
