LaBarba's second fight of the tournament was unimpressive as his Thai opponent had his number throughout most of the bout. LaBarba started coming on in the later rounds, but Borkhorser held him at bay to take a well deserved win. Perhaps it was complacency, or perhaps Borkhorsor is a dark horse of this competition.
After drawing the opening round, Borkhorsor was rampant in his control of the match, winning six straight rounds, despite a pair of warnings from the referee which put him on a tight rein for the final third of the match. His Californian foe did manage to cut him around the left eye, but his bad night was completed when he slipped on some water and crashed to the mat. No knockdown was given, but it summed up his poor performance.
