About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1909/10 (S18), Game 4: Victoria vs South Australia

Victoria vs South Australia
Melbourne Cricket Ground
1st, 3rd-4th January 1910

Lineups:
Victoria- WI Sewart, FT Delves, VS Ransford, DBM Smith, WW  Armstrong, WJ Scott, A Kenny, TJ Mathews, FJ Laver, W Carkeek, JV Saunders

South Australia- ER Mayne, EH Leak, C Hill, JN Crawford, S Hill, AH Woolcock, KH Quist, JDA O'Connor, GC Campbell, WJ Whitty, AW Wright

First Innings
Victoria suffered on the opening day again, this time against South Australia. The visiting bowlers ran wild through two sessions to keep the hosts in  check; taking advantage of a very bowler-friendly pitch.

VIC 172
A Kenny 33
AW Wright 4-29; WJ Whitty 3-52

South Australia found a way to survive the difficult conditions, and even thrived at the beginning with an opening partnership of 118. JV Saunders was the biggest threat to South Australian success, but his five-for only looked like slowing them down if the batsmen couldn't pick up their game.

VIC 172
SA 327
EH Leak 72; ER Mayne 61; C Hill 55
JV Saunders 5-80

Second Innings
Victoria did enough to put their opponents in to bat again, but only just. The final five of the order all capitulated without adding a single run between them; this after a spark of life from DBM Smith and WW Armstrong as they carried the team from 34-3 to 129-4. It still wasn't enough to even match their first innings total.

VIC 172 + 167
SA 327
WW Armstrong 63
WJ Whitty 6-50; JDA O'Connor 4-56

EH Leak went almost immediately at the hands of the wicket keeper off a WW Armstrong delivery, but it was all academic as South Australia claimed an easy victory.

VIC 172 + 167
SA 327 + 13-1
ER Mayne 58
WW Armstrong 1-5

South Australia win by nine wickets.
