The Rangers ran wild in Boston led as they were by the NHL leader in goals and points Camille Henry who had a six point game with four goals, including the game winner. The Bruins' inability to stay out of the penalty box cost them five of the nine goals against, three from Henry, one from Balon (6) and one from three-point man (2+1) Earl Ingarfield (22). There were three assists each for Andy Bathgate and Ted Hampson, but Bostons Dean Prentice showed his ex-employers what they were missing with two goals while the man he was traded for, Don McKenney, only ended the match with a minor penalty to his name.
