KENT, Wash. - SEATTLE - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 22nd annual NHRA Northwest Nationals listing lane, driver name, vehicle, elapsed time, and top speed:

Del Worsham has qualified as the fastest driver in two events this season and his sub four second time has him odds-on to do it again. A whole .164 seconds back is Mike Neff with Tim Wilkerson also putting in a 4.1s effort. Some big names failed to impress in the first round of qualifying: Third-place Bob Tasca III and Matt Hagan, who is currently fifth in the championship, are outside the top sixteen.
