First Innings

VIC 387
RL Park 88; WH Ponsford 78; J Ryder 78
HSTL Hendry 3-67; JD Scott 2-79
New South Wales looked to be in some difficulty at 43-3 with HL Collins and W Bardsley both receiving their marching orders back to back with 16 runs each, and CG Macartney (6) failed to reach that many. There were a few scores in the 30's and a 29 from HSTL Hendry, but it was JM Taylor who had any real say in New South Wales staying in this match.
VIC 387
NSW 323
JM Taylor 126; TJE Andrews 36
AE Liddicut 4-93; VS Ransford 2-28
Second Innings
WH Ponsford (4) was the only early victim to NSW bowling, and both ER Mayne (49) and WM Woodfull (43) keeping things secure until they fell for a 97-3 score. J Ryder bettered his first innings total and RL Park made another half-century himself to help the team pass 300 again. HSTL Hendry failed to take another wicket in the match but his shortcomings were balanced out by AA Mailey's performance.
VIC 387 + 330
NSW 323
J Ryder 79; RL Park 68
AA Mailey 5-85; JD Scott 3-74
Only a leg-bye was on the scoreboard when W Bardsley was out leg before wicket and HL Collins walked off, caught at mid off. CG Macartney managed to score a single run to add to a second extra before the man at gully made a remarkable catch and New South Wales were in a deep hole 3-3. TJE Andrews rolled up his sleeves and kept things steady but JM Taylor could not emulate his earlier visit to the crease, out for 39. A last stand from HSTL Hendry was only enough to to get them past 200 runs, well short of the required total.
VIC 387 + 330
NSW 323 + 204
TJE Andrews 58; HSTL Hendry 40
PH Wallace 3-56; AE Liddicut 3-57
Victoria win by one-hundred-and-ninety runs.
This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
