About M.E. myself and I

Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom
I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris

CW 1923/24 (S27) Game 4: New South Wales vs South Australia

New South Wales vs South Australia
Sydney Cricket Ground
11th-12th, 14th-16th January 1924

Lineups-
New South Wales- HL Collins, W Bardsley, TJE Andrews, JM Taylor, AF Kippax, ATE Punch, HSTL Hendry, AT Gray, WAS Oldfield, AA Mailey, CS Everett

South Australia- EL Bowley, AJ Richardson, VY Richardson, DE Pritchard, FK Gould, RJB Townsend, JW Rymill, NL Williams, WJ Whitty, HM Fisher, AM Ambler

First Innings
New South Wales were 99-1 at lunch, HL Collins (26) the lone dismissal, but 205-5 at tea with ATE Punch needed to lead a resurgence into the second day. His century was the clear highlight for NSW while a pair of bowlers took three wickets a piece for South Australia, yet were unable to keep their opponents under 400.

NSW 403
ATE Punch 120; W Bardsley 77; HSTL Hendry 58
NL Williams 3-82; AJ Richardson 3-89

Other than AM Ambler, who was out for a duck, the South Australian batsmen all registered double-figures but only one passed, or even came close, to their half-century. EL Bowley outlasted his first two partners, the Richardsons, and saw his side pass 100 before he too was removed from play. A pair of 30+ scores from DE Pritchard and WJ Whitty (34*) bookended four tallys in the 20's, leaving New South Wales in control.

NSW 403
SA 290
EL Bowley 52; DE Pritchard 36
AA Mailey 3-79; HSTL Hendry 3-82

Second Innings
WJ Whitty struck early for his first wicket, HL Collins lbw for 2, while W Bardsley (38) and TJE Andrews may have swapped bats between innings as their scores were similar to the others' in the first innings and NSW were 186-6 at the end of day three. AT Gray was strong through the fourth morning session until he was run out, but his side struggled to put to the game away.

NSW 403 + 267
SA 290
TJE Andrews 70; AT Gray 64
RJB Townsend 4-60; WJ Whitty 4-88

Five South Australian batsmen failed to reach double-figures this time, VY Richardson's duck the first after the openers were split up with EL Bowley walking for 23. AJ Richardson was the man to drag his team past 100 but, like his fellow opener in the first innings, fell soon after reaching the milestone. From that point on it was pretty easy for New South Wales to bide their time and cleave through the order, doubling up on South Australia with two wins out of two games versus South Australia.

NSW 403 + 267
SA 290 + 199
AJ Richardson 53; WJ Whitty 38*
ATE Punch 4-48; AA Mailey 3-51

New South Wales win by one-hundred-and-eighty-one runs.
