Osaka, Osaka Municipal Gymnasium
After two days without any involvement, the Juryo division were represented by three men who all lost out, including
Aobajo for his first defeat of the Haru basho. The first losses for Makuuchi athletes were suffered by
Kotokaze in a very tight contest against
Wakashimazu, and
Takamiyama against another 5-1 man,
Sadanoumi.
The most entertaining matches came from the lower half of the rankings.
Fujizakura won his second contest in three by beating
Kurama, and
Tochiakagi, who has taken three of the last four, beat out
Ozutsu. There was a slight injury to report that leaves
Kurosegawa fifty-fifty for tomorrow but he is certain to return to action soon.

As well as calling out the men for competition, he will also clean up the dohyo (ring), hold advertising banners for sponsered matches, and even play drums outside of the arena to draw attention to the event.
