As with the Makuuchi the Juryo has some personal changes for the Haru. Joining the demoted Banryuyama, Mitsuruyama and Toryu are foure men promoted from the Makushita. They are Oko, Hakuryuyama and Wakanofuji, the latter two won against Juryo opponents in the Hatsu. The men who leave the Juryo are Kagetora, Kinoarashi, Saisu and Taguryu. Finally, Tamakiyama looks to be entering this tournament in his usual form. [NOTE: A special event in the first day of the Hatsu boosted his performance for that event]
With the Hatsu champion Daijuyama and runner-up Iwanami now competing in the Makuuchi, the field is open for another victor. Aobajo is one of the favourites and he starts on on a winning note, but demoted Banryuyama will be disappointed in his start as he lost out to Wakajishi, as will the other two former Makuuchi athletes who took losses.

This blog is to share results in my sports replay gaming. All of the games involve pencil, paper, cards and dice; no digital gaming here. Most games are full season replays, but there will also be some fictional competitions thrown in. It's been a while, but I hope that 2017 sees a return of blog activity.

- I have been an M.E. sufferer for a long time now, but sports replay gaming is an easy hobby for me to enjoy. Originally from Canvey Island, Essex, I was introduced to replay gaming a few years ago, leading to my first purchase: Cricket World. Most sports I share will be common, but there are some more obscure replays thrown in. Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to say hello! - Chris
